Tranforming Typography
Letters can become prisons of sound and meaning, but once freed from those constraints, their forms can transform freely. Transformation of typography that explores the visual potential of Hangul/Alphabet –the boundary between letter to image. In this Gather, attendees will be given various letters or a short word and continuously vary it by focusing on the movement of the hand and the flow of consciousness. By following this flow without interruption, they discover their own unique expressions and encounter unfamiliar forms that break away from habitual ones.
The works created through this process, while liberated in form, still retain the inherent nature of letters—naturally reconnecting with meaning and forming unexpected links between shape and significance.
