Both young and experienced creatives alike are often overwhelmed when navigating the nuances of the fine art scene. The art world can leave people hurt and directionless. But art galleries often look for a specific approach and a punch list of deliverables, even more than they look for the quality of work. In this Gather, we’ll discuss practical ways for conquering creative chaos, developing professionalism, starting and maintaining relationships with galleries, and presenting yourself and your work for potential exhibitions. We’ll give insider info on how galleries think and real talk about art pricing. We’ll explore how you can prepare a foundation for presenting yourself and your work to the world.

Bianca Valencia
Bianca Valencia is a Connecticut born artist specializing in fine art and illustration. Her illustration work leans towards surrealism and abstract expressionism with a highly concentrated focus on the exploration of dreams, theology, and the ontology of the self. The concentration of Bianca’s paintings respond to the aesthetic energy of abstract expressionism with its active movement towards work in which the gesture of the artist’s hand or process is highly evident in the final compositions as the work explores theological cosmology and the act of making.
